5 out of 8 isn't bad

It's tune up time for the pickup truck. It is time to change out the spark plugs. It is an 8 cylinder engine, so I have 8 spark plugs to change. I managed to change 5 spark plugs, and then I ran out of daylight. I will continue tomorrow, when I have daylight again. I only have 3 more spark plugs to change. Tomorrow is another day.

Hmmmmm, looking at the old spark plugs, after taking them out of the engine, I will say that I am impressed. I thought that they would be burned out. But, as it turns out, the spark plugs that I took out of the engine are still in good condition. Everyone that has ever gave a vehicle a tune-up and changed out the spark plugs before, will already know that it is a guessing game. You need to buy the new spark plugs first, before taking the old ones out. Unless, of course, you have another vehicle that you can use to drive to the auto parts store to buy the spark plugs.

Well, I don't have another vehicle that I can use, so I had to buy the spark plugs in advance and then take the old ones out. And as I said already, the old spark plugs are still in good condition. But, since I already had the new spark plugs, I am changing them out anyway.  I'm not really good at knowing how much more life that the old spark plugs have left before they need to be changed out. So, I made the decision to change them out anyway.

Changing out the spark plugs that are towards the front of the engine, are relatively easy to do. It is the spark plugs towards the back of the engine that are the most challenging. It took me a couple of hours just to change out 2 spark plugs that were in the back of the engine. They are very hard to get to, and I have the bruises on my arms to prove it. But I'm not worried about that, the bruises will go away soon. And hopefully, when the tune-up is finished, the pickup truck will run smooth for many years to come.

  1. I will not be going to Planet Fitness this evening. I was working on the tune-up on the pickup truck for many hours, and my legs hurt. After a good night's sleep tonight, I will try to go to Planet Fitness sometime tomorrow. I know that I am overdue for a workout, but as long as I was standing at my engine today, I feel like I did get some type of exercise. And I will try to catch up on that, tomorrow, at Planet Fitness. 👍🙂

  2. As of this moment, I only ate ground beef and scrambled eggs for dinner. Yet, my legs hurt. I'm still trying to figure it out. I still have a lot to learn. My only theory at this moment, is standing in front of my engine of my pickup truck for many hours, has made my legs hurt. And the pain continues for many hours after.

Of course, this is only a theory, because I am still learning, and I still have a lot to learn. I do know that what I eat and how long I am standing or walking plays a significant role in the pain in my legs. I still have a lot more research to do. Research is fun for me. Because I enjoy taking notes and consolidating the notes. 👍🙂

  3. On another note hehehehe, I still need to choose one note taking app. It is a very hard decision. There are many awesome note-taking apps. But, only choosing one app is much better than having notes scattered all over many apps. Right now, I have 3 note taking apps, that I favor more than all the others. ColorNote, OneNote, and Google Keep. I believe that I will keep all 3. I am not being stingy or indecisive. I enjoy those apps, and so I will continue to use all 3 of them 👍🙂
